Also checkout AppForge at http://appforge.com. The language is VB6 and there is a good book by O'Reilly with source samples. I am currently building a palm app that synchs with our VFP6 database. The conduit for synching needs to distribute to each palm users' desktop, but it is really a non-issue (once you build the conduit). Just like distributing any app.
