In the event of a crash, VFP seems to start with "set resource off" on the next run, you'll have to do a "set resource on", "set development on" and save your settings. This also happens if you open two instances of VFP, the second will, by default, run with "set resource off", if you close this second instance last, VFP will use it's settings (or lack there of) next time it runs.
