Hi Issam,
OK, You asked for it.
I created an install disk for an application I was testing and I needed a "clean machine" to install on so I asked a friend if I could install on his machine. To make a long story short my IS installation ended up hosing his machine so bad I had to wipe his hard disk and re-install Windows!
Using Install Shield can be a very scary thing. I would definitely test and then test and then retest before I let my installation out on an innocent client!
Good luck!!!
Oh and is it slow to build its include files list! This thing must be built on an Access database. My sample application has some 200 files in it and Install Shield took 5 minutes to add that list of files to its installation list. 5 minutes for 200 files? Gsheesh!
