There are coder's, programmers, guy's that know the words and guys that can specify and code anything. As other posters indicated, it's a lot fun just to see how far outside the box you can go with VFP. It's such an amazing product, we get get the sense we can do anything with it.

The question is: Where do you want to go with it?

Do you want a high paying job maintaining systems for a wealthy corporation. Is the the risk of downsizing acceptable. Or, do you want to invent the next killer app and live on Maui with RS?

Admit it: Writing code is a fun way to make a living. Are you a team guy that can fit into the politics of a team or - are you too cool for politics and want to be free to follow your notions of perfection. Either way is great and a lot of fun (and it don't matter how you get there!).

>if I use the wizards and built in classes to write my programs??? I mean I have used unbound controls and added data to my tables via SQL insert, but have never caught on to the whole OOP thing. I mean the FFC work fine for my needs, I even have modified them but am I really a prgrammer than??

Imagination is more important than knowledge
