We ran a large VFP6 app over a wan successfully. We started out with 56K fiber and then the WAN was converted to an ATM network. No problems there. In the interim (while 56k fiber) we considered Terminal Services for very remote sites, but then the conversion occurred and it wasn't necessary afterall. Keep in mind to only fetch what you absolutely need.
