I usually use type function to chech , what lparameters passed to method
For example< I have form with init and few lparameters in this class form
Sometime form can be called with 1 parameter, sometimes with two, sometimes only with second and so on
I write the following things after lparameters
if type('_firstpar')!="U"
and so on
