Actually, you folks at MS might be interested to know what I've been experiencing in the "trenches". I've taught several ".NET for VFP Developers" classes now and most of the errors people encounter *are* syntax errors--which you would expect from someone who is learning a new language. As time goes by I'm sure the percentage will change in the other direction, but ultimately, you can get the full compiler checking in C# as you do in VB .NET once you hit F5.

That said, I've had a lot of "up close and personal" time with VB .NET based on the new book I'm writing, and I've actually noticed a few cases where I've had the same code in C# as in VB .NET and occassionally the VB .NET compiler didn't catch a few errors that the C# compiler did! I wish I'd written these down, but I'll let you know (or whoever needs to know) what I find out if I trip over this again.
