An interesting 'take' on that problem, Craig... I more see it as VFP requires the comma while it didn't before and NOT that versions prior to 7 were erroneous in letting it through in the first place.

In fact the VFP7 documentation, under behaviour changes, says it is because of Intellisense that this was changed.

>We've converted several huge applications with minimal effort. VFP 7.0 is more picky about some things that previous versions let slip through the compiler. For example, in previous versions you could separate parameters with a space. A comma is now required. I see this as a good thing and fairly minor. You shouldn't have any major problems. Just keep a backup of the 6.0 files. The structure of the MNX file changed.

If I decided to upgrade will I have to do anything more than recompile my EXE with the new version, or is there a nightmare of brain damage required, as is so often the case when upgrading between versions?
