Tracy;
This tops off an other wise perfect day!
Things about this case:
1. Mr. Newdow is from Florida. At least he is not from California!
2. People hate changes – kids included. When I was a kid we said the Pledge of Allegiance without reference to God. Then the words “one nation under God” were added. As a kid I did not like the new and extra words – the content was not an issue.
3. Will the Pledge be changed to its original form or never be allowed to be recited again?
This is a great message for the world! There is no God in the United States. He is not allowed here! One could argue that the pledge itself is a form of prayer even without reference to the word God.
Mr. Newdow is a physician. I would like to see physician’s become responsible members of his/her profession. Too many physicians are incompetent, non-caring or both and would better serve humanity in another field. Ditch digging comes to mind. A lawsuit filed on behalf of all members of society against physicians is certainly in order. Physicians kill more people each year in this country than drunk drivers.
Change our currency to read, “Trust in no one”! Especially Physicians!
