>>Dear friends,
>>I tried everything, but could not find the possibility in VFP 3.0 to lock the first row in a grid.
>>For example: The first row would be the name of the customer. When I go with the cursor to the right side, the name escapes. For this purpose the row with the name should always stay. In Clipper this was no problem, but in VFP I could not find a solution.

Hi Dave, thanks for your reply, I tried already an evening with the Partintion and Panel properties, but the problem is, that I just could make a partition, which showed the first row on the left side and on the right side the same row was visible. If do not need the same row 2 times, this does not look so professional, but when I tried to make the right row not visible, also the left row was invisible, even the partition link was on .f. What I am really looking for would be like the FREEZE property like in the browse window.
Do you have solutions with a "frozen row" and is this in general possible, then I would go more in the direction of the panel solution.
Thanks for your time
Johann
