Okay, but you won't get a PW around my agency, I guarantee you. Weak security can be done on any platform, strong security on almost any platform, as well.

Also, you are not right on the NT expiration. NT4 has a year of support remaining. I agree it's time to be considering a move to a more recent OS version - but the problem is Win2K, now that the bugs are finally out, is also on a short lifespan. And XP is still discovering new holes nearly daily.

In this sense, a network that has built a solid and secure NT WK/Server system over the course of many years is more very likely to be more secure than a new XP-based system. We are tryingto time it right to move to XP just before NT support is discontinued, almost exactly 1 year from now.
