Does the web.config file in the wlogin directory also have the same authentication information?

>the web.config that specifies '.PHYSCNT' is located in localhost/wPysCnt/, along with all the other files required for this application. The login application has it's own web.config in localhost/wlogin/, with all of it's other files as well. Does this make a difference?
