I need some help with something I do not understand. I'm using VFP 7 (SP1) on Windows 2000 (SP2).

I have an .SCX form on which there is a container. This container has three controls.

1) A grid (from my .VCX)
2) A baseclass shape object (created in the grid's INIT).
3) A second baseclass shape object (created in the form's INIT).

For whatever reason this second shape object is never visible.

From the command window (after STEP has been set on) I have interactively played with what I think are all of this second shape's relevant properties such as ZOrder, Visible, Enabled, Top, Left, FillColor, BackColor, BorderColor, etc. I have also reduced the size of the grid the first shape and changed their positions. Still there is no visible trace of the second shape.

The debugger indicates that the container's Controls(3) is this second shape object, just as I would expect. Its properties' values are also reported as expected.

In searching the Microsoft web site I have not encountered an article that seems to help me.

Help! Can someone suggest what I am overlooking?
