Colin,

Try change the following line inside sample1.prg

.frx2word.doc_filename = sys(5)+curdir()+"colin.doc"

to

.frx2word.doc_filename = "c:\my documents\colin.doc"

and look the results.

Also, pay attention to the size of your document. If it is greater than 10k there is something inside. Check the visualization options inside Word, probably something was turned off.
I don't think frx2word is incompatible with XP. I have some users with the same configuration of yours and they are running a lot of frx using frx2word.

Unfortunately I'm still using VFP6, but last month I've had an opportunity to remotely debug frx2word inside a machine using VFP7 with XP. No problems at all.
