Geo,

>>>SQL-DMO is going to be the fun part of it. <

Yep! I remember when I was first given the task of doing this utility and that I needed to use SQL-DMO for it. I thought, "What the heck do I know about SQL-DMO, I don't even know what it is!" ... I was worried that it would be hard. But, as you say, it was the fun part. <g>

So ... have fun!! <s>

>>Cool ... so you'll end up using VFP for more than generating the scripts. That works great too (using SQL-DMO). We have a little VFP utility that I wrote for doing stuff like that too.

>SQL-DMO is going to be the fun part of it. Generating the script...*sigh*...I've writing so much stuff like that, that it's pretty boring. What you can do with SQL-DMO is very cool. I'm just getting my feet wet with it. I've written some stuff in VBScript to help manage our databases. Of course, I prototyped it in VFP 7.0. Notepad's IDE leaves just a bit to be desired.< vbg >
