Title:
SET DELETED - more Command reference enhancement
The Command Reference for SET DELETED has, for probably all of its life, contained the following under the Remarks section:
"Note SET DELETED is ignored if the default scope for the command is the current record or you include a scope of a single record. INDEX and REINDEX always ignore SET DELETED and index all records in the table.".
Many of us, rightly or wrongly, consider a SEEK command to be intrinsically scoped to "a single record". However, the result from the use of SEEK does respect the current setting for (SET) DELETED.
While most of us eventually learn this the harder way, it would be most helpful if the documentation reflected the (possible) deviation.
