Thanks Claude. So if my need is to populate a desktop form TextBox with data, I don't need foxISAPI. IOW - the information from the server can be managed by COM, rather than HTTP or URL's?

Thanks

>FOXISAPI is one option to connect to outside databases with ODBC in a web app. You can also do the same thing with a VFP mtdll called from ASP or ASP.NET. Of course, if you're using VFP data, you don't need any ODBC calls. Both of these methods allow you to use VFP for all of your web application logic in addition to just passing back HTML.
>>Is foxISAPI a CGI/HTML engine? I am exploring connecting desktop "forms" to ISP type tables and wondering if I will need foxISAPI's help for that? What I've read seems to indicate that foxISAPI is a "page" server. Do I need foxISAPI to connect to server data through the ODBC?
