I believe that it is a trial copy. I got it from a team member for evaluation. I did that and earlier this week submitted my evaluation report to go with those submitted by other team members. I initially started out in favor of using a commerical framework. After I tested CDBK 3.0, Mere Mortals patches, VMF and VMF Pro, and VFE the bloom has gone off the Rose. In my report I advised against using any of the mentioned frameworks or generators. I was out voted and it appears we will purchase VFE, because it is the most complete and easiest to use. I don't know how many seats we will buy, but I don;t plan to use it. What we really need is a login object, a security object and an error object.

BTW, I downloaded those papers you recommended. Things were as I suspected - VSS can be used but only if you check out everything you need via the project manager before you fire the application manager. And, VFE is not designed for team development. These problems can be worked around, by those that are going to use VFE.
