I really need a way to automate bulk image reduction. Doing them 1 at a time in Paint Shop Pro sucks. I did find free software to do bulk conversions at http://www.arcatapet.net/imgv32.html but you can not automate it. As long as I have something that can do bulk conversions, I can live without full automation [just barely, though :)].

If I understood correctly, Microsoft and Kodak had a "disagreement" over the imaging controls licensing, so XP and beyond will not come with the Kodak, Eastman, or Wang imaging controls.

Instead, there is a new beast called WIA (Windows Image Acquisition), but in my limited searches, I haven't found how the new model can be used like we used to use the Kodak controls.
