Hi Cheng, Ken, Lisa and Don
I started a little company a few years ago and now it has grown a bit.
Apart from a misstep in 1997, VFP has been used for most of it.
Today we work with lots of development tools but the important database work, the Patented stuff, is done using VFP. Why? Because we know we cannot replicate the speed and flexibility any other way- Delphi has the speed but not the flexibility, C# has the flexibility but not the database speed. We've spent a lot of money making sure about that.
VFP has done me proud and you should be proud of your choice. The object orientation and systems you use in VFP are superb building planks for the next decade of development no matter how quickly and unpredictably things move.
Well done.
Regards
JR
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
