>John, why is it that ProMatrix is not attending Visual FoxPro conferences like DevCons as one of the many FoxPro 3rd party companies any more?

Joe Lawson, President of ProMatrix already answered that question tonight. Not all of us agree, but we don't have to run a company - we just develop database applications <g>... If we were to walk a mile in his shoes, well it may be a whole nother thing...

I think they are Platinum with Microsoft or something like that <g>. Seriously, ProMatrix has always discovered and announced support of features that upcoming versions of FoxPro provided - that they could of only had found out by participating in pre-release seminars, or beta programs... Many of us VPME developers have also participated in Microsoft FoxPro Beta's and push the framework in the directions we would like... This is a good question for their management staff though, and not their cadre of developers ...

I recieved one lowly cookie for VFP 7... .

>As I stated in a previous thread, the ProMatrix documentation is the best I've seen. Which leads me to my next question: I am trying to review the ProMatrix Getting Started manual, or the User's Guide, but I am not sure where I should start.

Joe takes enourmous pride in producing some of the best documentation for software out there. It's a thing of his (no wine before it's time or something <g>)...

Also, this is another good topic to start over in the Developers News Group. What I read though, is get the Sample App up and running, get the Getting Started Manual read and post your questions on the News Group...

I'll help, ask specific questions - piece of cake.
