Hi,
when testing my program I ran into a problem.
the COM dll part of my program does generate serious runtime errors when it runs on windows 98.
To be more specific: releasing the component from memory triggers a runtime error that in developement mode even corrupts FoxPro itself.
I have compiled the dll on a windows 2000 machine and that seems to be the problem. If I compile the dll on a windows 98 machine it works ok on both 98 and 2000.
Using service pack 1 on VFP doesn't solve the problem an neither does running the latest patches on windows 98SE.
IMHO it isn't desirable that you compile (parts of) your program in '98 to make it more compatible?!?!

Does anybody know of this problem and how to fix it?

TIA
