Yes, you right that error 2005 shouldnt be the 'appropriate' error that should come out. But what causes it to come out??? Hope somebody else will see this thread of ours and perhaps hopefully shed some light...

>"Open exclusively" should be understood literally - once a table is open exclusively somewhere, there's no way it would get open anywhere else, so what you're experiencing is what it should be. The only weird thing is the sort of error you're getting - I would expect something related to tables, cursors etc, not 2005.
