Hey Victor,

Long time no see! Good to hear from you.

I have been pretty busy just with my family. Two of the kids (step) are now with their father for the summer and my daughter moved out, leaving one 17 year old son at home and my wife.

Some of our FoxPro developers don't understand that when you have a family, you have to also nurture them, leaving less time for fun things like User Groups. I do still go to OCFOX once in a while, but missed the last one.

My boss (Keith Gill) and I had some Visual MaxFrame training lately from Drew Speedie in May over there at brick Software (Mike Cumming's place). Man, I think Drew must have changed his name from something like Smith to Speedie for a good reason. Anyone know his real name?

We may just go out and buy an accounting package or two (all the necessary modules), rather than develop this accounting software from scratch. I am a purist and want to develop the entire package of accounting modules from scratch, but financial resources may be a problem.

Victor, do you know of any good accounting packages written in Visual FoxPro?

After all we've read on this forum, we still like Visual MaxFrame and if we continue forward with the development, we will use it as our framework of choice. At least, that is the plan for today.

Cecil

What are you looking for in a framework would be the question. Who cares abou the feature list or "bells and whistles". They do you no good if they are not the one's you need.

Why don't you post the required features and we can then focus on what frameworks have the best fit for you.

p.s. You found VW Fox but we lost you somehow??? What happen?? I'll be presenting some C# goodies in July at VW Fox and San Diego Fox. Hope you can make it.
