Very weird. I suggest having the client email you the DBC and table (along with the DCX, DCT, etc.) as it sits on their system so you can do a VALIDATE DATABASE to see if you get the same problem.

One other thing (although may not be related): when files are copied from a CD, they are still read-only on the hard drive. Is your installer making them read-write?
