Here's where we may be going on this. We originally thought we'd create from scratch all of the accounting modules in VFP 7.0 (maybe 8.0), which we have in FoxPro for DOS. However, when we looked at the time required to do all of this, even with adding in the time-saver of a framework, we still saw (see) that there is way too much time required to develop these products from the ground up. So, now, we are re-thinking this and may just outright purchase accounting modules, created in Visual FoxPro, of course, and then modify them to meet our specific needs for the construction industry.
