I'm using vfp 6.0 as a report generator tied to a cache' database via ODBC. The cache' data uses long field names which I have no problem with when I bring the data up into a cursor. However I want to save certain retrieved views and look at them retrospectively. To do this I execute a COPY TO command. The problem is that the COPY truncates field names, thus my original reporting foxpro code is looking for long field name that no longer exist.
Is there a way to retain long field names when COPYing from a cursor to a table?
