I subscribe to both C# in .NET and .NET Developer and think they are both very good publications. There are no ads but just good articles that address specific topics. The other publication I would highly recommend is CoDe Magazine. This one covers a variety of topics that are extremely useful for a broad range of development needs. When developing in .NET used need to have a understanding of different technologies and how they work together. This magazine does a good job of doing this.
