I don't know if this is still of interest for you (this thread is some months old - just happened to search for FOXSQZ in the archive): You can configure FoxSQZ, so it calls back to a UDF during processing of files. In the UDF you can show your/update your own thermometer.

BTW: Did you find a 32 Bit version of FoxSQZ? I'm currently in the process of converting a FPW2.6 app that uses FoxSQZ.
