>After compiling an APP in Foxpro 2.6a on a machine that has both a C: Drive and a CD-ROM, When try to pull up the executable I get Error Reading Drive D:, d being the CD-ROM Drive. If I put a cd in the cd-rom drive it solves the problem but that is not an acceptable fix. I tried to find somthing on Microsofts Knowledge Base but was unsuccessful. If any one else has this problem please let me know the outcome. Thanks
Hi Jeff,
This is a known problem in FPW2.6. The solutions that have been offered are:
1) To compile the app on a machine that has only a C: drive.
2) Open up the project file as a table ( USE MyProject.pjx . . . AFTER backing up the .PJX and .PJT ) and locate all references to the D: drive and remove/change them to C: drive. Close the project table, PACK it and recompile the app. This is the solution we have successfully used.
Others in the forum may have other solutions and you might check the UT KB and/or the MS KB.
