DirectTVDSL(http://www.directvdsl.com/) was the least costly connection I could get. It's about $50 a month, but, there are discounts that can bring it down even more. I would expect to pay between $50-$100 a month for such a connection. With DirectTV DSL, you get a static IP and can run any type of Web Server from it. You would need Windows 2000 Server or NT server which will include everything you need like DNS, Web Server, and E-Mail - on Windows this stuff is very easy to setup and maintain. As long as you keep up with the Microsoft updates to the OS (which can be automated) and run anti-virus (I use Norton), you should be fine with security against viruses...

>Do you think, is it a good idea to recommend my client to have their own minicomputer as their own web server? Is it too costly? What about the security and etc? Is it complex to have it such as maintainance issue? How much does it cost to have own server for this purpose?
