Actually, as I remember, I was moving the OLE objects and saving prior to getting the error message. (It hasn’t happened in quite a while so I couldn’t remember the exact process.) Once I got the error and lost all my work, I started looking for a solution. When I moved the OLE objects prior to each save, I didn't get the error. In my case, the error usually occurred after copying an OLE object from one form to another.

>This is long after your problem occurred but it might help others. I had the same type of error when trying to save a form with an OLE object, I received an OLE error and the form wouldn't save. The error was something like 'OLE error 0x8000fff Catastrophic Error'. In my situation, I moved all of my OLE objects down on the form about 10 pixels and I could save the form. Every time I ran into the error I did the same thing, moved to OLE objects. Once they were moved and the form was saved I could move them back to their original positions and the form would save without errors. Once the file was saved I could close and reopen the file with no problems. I have no clue why but it has consistently worked for me.

>>> ccgXlib.vcx, vct

>>>The second record in the scx file appears to be blank? I tried deleting it but it didn't help. The first two object records seem to have a parent in the library. I don't know how to find records for objects on pageframes so I can't check that OLE object I added, which is on page 5 of one of the pageframes.

>>>Thanks so much for taking the time to look at this. I really appreciate it.
