Thanks for your questions regarding the corrupt memo fields. I am viewing the table in the browse window just in VFP and getting this behaviour. When the cursor is in the field the Memo turns to memo and when looses focus goes back to Memo when there is data in the field.

Because of this in my app it falls over with a GPF error!
