You might want to verify the legality of distributing the printer drivers and Ghostscript with your applications. Even though GhostScript is GNU Public licensed and freely available for download (as is the printer driver), it is still copyrighted work and may require permission from the copyright holder for distribution rights. Incorporating and distributing these works in your application may make your work subject to the GNU public license as well. There is a lot of legal language in the license agreement that may require competent legal advise before distribution with your application. Call me paranoid. <s>

I use code that accesses the Ghostscript DLL to allow my applications to send reports to PDF, IF the Postscript Printer driver and Ghostscript is installed. I can also automate the ADOBE PDF Writer if the user has this one installed. I have set this up as a configuration option and provide the user with the links and instructions for setup, but I make the user responsible for obtaining the drivers.
