Listen to other opinions besides mine because some others know more than me. But I believe that the conventional wisdom is on your question that having such multiple layers of form classes or other types of objects in multiple layers like that through your class library(ies) does not significantly effect speed. It goes through all the programming very very quickly up those layers of hierarchy. Speed problems come with large groups of data in tables or views.
