>The proofs in the pudding as they say. Ask them what specifically it is that they can't achieve with VFP and SQL Server? I had the same perception problem with VFP when I first joined my current company, lots of rumours etc. mostly from people who don't know a fat lot about anything from a development standpoint.

Exactly how it is here, people with zero development background and 100% false perception!

>Our applications go out of the door on time and make money, we solve problems with VFP that puts some other development systems to shame, we are constantly expanding our development team and most of our customers are blissfully unaware that we are using VFP as part of their solutions.

It doesn't help that I work for Local Government, our customers are under the same roof - so to speak, and false information travels around fast, unfortunately it's not me that gets a chance to prove my point.

>They don't care because it works and will continue to work for some time to come!

I wish my managers/customers would realise that, but again they just don't listen - they don't really value their own staff's opinions (which is BS).

>In summary I am no longer asked questions about wether or not the technology is going to be around in the next 10 years, if you would like some examples of where VFP is deployed then I would be happy to tell you?

I've always used the Euro Tunnel as a good example of scalability, can you give me some examples?

Thanks for your response.
