Hello,
I'm trying to export a VFP7 table to an Access 2000 (yuk!) mdb using the March 2002 version of John Koziol's dbc2mdb.app.
However, on clicking the "Finish" button, the app claims to open source and destination databases, and then crashes with the following error:
Downsize Error
X Error while converting data. Downsize aborted.
36 Command contains unrecognised phrase/keyword
This happens regardless of whether the downsize data box is checked. Has anybody any useful suggestions as to what might be causing this?
Or indeed an easier way of getting Access to read VFP dbf's - I'm sure that this used to be much easier in the days of FPW26 and Access 95. I've tried converting the table first using
copy to type FOX2X
But this can't be recognised as a dbaseIII, IV or V file by Access2000 either. What on earth are Microsoft doing by removing the ability to import Foxpro dbfs from Access 2000?
Bizarre...
Thanks in advance
John
