You can't to a VFP native combo box. This is because they aren't windows. However, you can with some ActiveX controls. I wrote an article on the MS Calendar Control 8.0, that uses SendMessage to retrieve the value selected in that control's combo. It appeared in mid-2000 (check my profile for the exact month) in the VFUG newsletter. It's available on-line at www.vfug.org.
