This is sort of a general question about changing Crystal grouping on the fly relative to Dates on a chart or in a report.

Is it possible to change from a monthly to a quarterly to a yearly report in Crystal which to me means changing the grouping based on parameters supplied by the user?

It sound complicated to me when you consider that you may have Crystal formulas that use that same grouping for averages and sums and totals.

In other words, I want to see 12 months listed on the chart across the X-axis when monthly is chosen or 4 Qtrs listed on the chart across the X-axis when qtr is chosen or X number of years listed on the chart across the X-axis when Yr is chosen.

Does this make sense or is it better to have separate reports that are called up one for monthly, one for qtrly, and one for yearly? This way sounds easier to me, but what is better?
