As i said in last post my problem went away when the adaptec 2940 was replaced with a 19160
so i feel it could have been the combination of W2K and 2940. A bit scary when silence prevails.

I have placed this post on the UT many times with little or no response. I even emailed Ken Levy- no reply. Microsoft denies it exists I guess, but our company has been forced to give up its VFP Backend databases.
