Sorry, I am not too familiar with repairing the registry manually. I have messed around inside the registry once in awhile, but I don't know how to fix your problem with ODBC drivers other than reinstall the software.
My other suggestion is that you could search the Microsoft.com website knowledgebase for a solution. I have some articles here relative to ODBC that I printed out from the Microsoft knowledgebase awhile back, but I don't think they were about your specific problem or I would share them with you.
For example, one article was called HOWTO: Set Up ODBC Data Source When Distributing Apps (Q123008). This one may or may not help you.
You might try resubmitting your question here specifically about that problem now that you have it narrowed down. Hopefully someone here can help.
