Hi all. I am new to VFP and have version 5.0a

In foxpro 2.6 I had a textbox that was used to enter a search string, and a browse window to display the results of this "seek". (This is a product table with 4000 records of codes, descriptions & prices) The first matching record to be found was then displayed at the very top (first row) of the browse window, followed by the rest of the records (in index order).

In VFP, I have recreated a similar screen with a grid (in place of the browse window). However,when the matching record is found, it is always displayed half way down the grid (and not at the top).
I am not used to this. Is it a good thing? Is there a way to make the first matching record be displayed on the first line of the grid. ?
