I have another question, we have just ordered VFP7 (we are currently using VFP6) and was wondering what advantaged a view has over a updateable SQL statement?
Using views in VFP6 or VFP7 can have it's pro's and con's. Using views can hide the complexity over using SPT. However, hiding the complexity means a small foot print of overhead. With todays hardware it's really not a big deal to carry this overhead.
You do lose some flexibility over using SPT. Most developers will recommend a mix of both SPT and Remote Views... At least I do.
