Technically, a toolbar never has or gets focus. When you click on a button on a toolbar, the object that has focus on the active form retains focus. One benefit to this is so you can reference the active form so the button you click on the toolbar knows what form or object to perform the action on especially in the case of navigation buttons. If this were not the case, then it would be difficult to use buttons like cut, copy and paste as well.

What actions do you plan to use this toolbar for?
