What you say about caching makes sense, but it's not true with Win2K. If Write Cache is enabled (the default), Win2K will let data sit in cache for extended lengths of time. I've made modfications to a form, saved it, and closed it, only to have the form become corrupted when Win2K freezes up 30 minutes later. This happened numerous times until I solved the problem with Win2K freezing up.

The solution is to disable Write Cache. The problem is that Win2K re-enables it upon startup. My understanding is that Microsoft has a solution for this but have not made it available in a Service Pack or as a download.
