Oracle has Oracle Forms and Oracle Developer which can be used to develop front-ends.

However, Oracle Forms, used in an Intranet scenario requires 5meg per user just to run.

I had a client re-developing a major VFP application using Oracle Developer. They spent 12 million and 4 years, 3 of which they were 90% "there", but it finally had to be shelved. What they were able to "demo" to users was rejected as too sssllllooowww and god ugly.

Considering they had 4 times the development staff as the VFP application, which went through 8 major upgrades during that time, and supposedly some of the most experience Oracle talent they could find. I would say you have very little to worry about Oracle taking over the front-end duties any time soon.

Oh, and they will have to heavily upgrade all their hardware including workstations.
