Your code says:

lcSource = 'ARCHIVE.' + ...

.ControlSource = lcSource

Which means

.ControlSource = "ARCHIVE.fieldname"

Try

.ControlSource = &lcSource

Which means

.ControlSource = Archive.fieldname
