Well, having been a victim too often I have tried to ascertain some of the causes of this particular error on Print Preview. Yes, the solution is posted, but that is not good enough. Sometimes you might have someone 'unknowing' fix a report format and zip it to the client. Then it crashes the system, they get upset, you have to fix the report, remove the tag, tag2 from the frx. In the meantime: the client cannot use the preview.

So, try this. I have practiced on about 70 odd reports now and I have found that:

if you do not have the print preview toolbar docked you will not get the C..5 error.

I have tried SQL remotes, views, tables, cursors, arrays, .xls, .mdb, and any other data source for a VFP report over the last few days. I am using VFP7SP1 and can quite handily generate the error. But as soon as I undocked the preview toolbar, away goes the problem.
