On a client's machine (VFP7 / W2K SP2 etc) a line of code throws this error:
OLE error code 0x800401f3: Invalid class string
The only reference to this error code in the MS Knowledge Base / VFP7 Help system is to a call to CREATEOBJECTEX(), whereas my line of code is a call to XMLTOCURSOR()

= XMLTOCURSOR(cFileName, "TmpXMLCursor", 512)

At first I thought the cause were the varios MS documented faults with the original XMLTOCURSOR and early versions of MSXML.dll distributed with the original versions of W2K and IE5.01.

But it can't be so as the client's version of Windows is fully up to date. I am unable to reproduce this message on my development machine (also W2K SP2).

Any clues?

This doesn't seem to have any effect, but thanks anyway:

>Install XML parser SP2 (in http://msdn.microsoft.com/xml "Essential Info" sidebar). This will replace previous versions of the XML parser and, hopefully, will address the error in your client's machine. See "Important Notes" in the download document.
