Right. So howzabout we either completely remove "under God" .OR. that we better explain what is meant by "under God"? For example:
"under < your God's name here > God"
"under quite a few different Gods"
"under the Goddess too"
"mostly under God"
"under God part-time"
"some under God, some don't personify a divinity"

And what's it mean to say "under" anyway. Most of the staunch-types on this thread would be more truthful (to their God, of course, not you) if they recited "at the right hand of God" :-)
